Why use a long leash?

The length of the leash matters, as it allows your dog to explore the world without being stressed – it provides entertainment and helps to keep her mind sharp. A longer leash allows your pet to sniff without pulling and dragging you along into every fascinating puddle. At the same time, a strong leash means that the control remains in your hand, enabling you to protect your dog and others from unexpected encounters.

We kindly ask that you select the right size based on the size of your dog (you can find the instructions here). We select the attachments based on the size of your dog – smaller and lighter for smaller dogs and more robust ones for larger and stronger dogs. If this leash is not available in the size you need for your dog, you will surely find something from the rest of our selection. This leash is 7mm wide and the handle width is 19 mm.

Give your dog a chance to enjoy walks safely and calmly. We recommend using a proper harness instead of a collar for walks to prevent injuries and control your dog in a safe way. Be sure to only use the back attachment for connecting the leash to the harness.

Material

The Kullakuu City Dweller leashes are made of BioThane and polypropylene rope that are used in all applications where durability and strength are essential. BioThane is water-repellent, does not absorb scents, and is easier to clean that you can imagine – just wipe the handle with a wet cloth and you’re done. Polypropylene rope is a good choice for a leash, as it is very strong and lightweight and does not absorb water. It is also dirt-repellent.
